Welcome to Yukthi CTF. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our cybersecurity education and Capture-the-Flag competition platform. By accessing or using Yukthi CTF, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

This platform is operated by Selfmade Ninja Academy in partnership with Tamil Nadu Police for educational and law enforcement training purposes.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or participating in CTF competitions, you agree to: - These Terms of Service - Our Privacy Policy - Our Code of Conduct - Competition-specific rules (when participating in events)

If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.


2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this platform
  • Users aged 13-17 must have parental or guardian consent
  • Users under 13 are not permitted under any circumstances

2.2 Account Requirements

  • You must provide accurate, current information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One person, one account (multiple accounts are prohibited)
  • You may not share, sell, or transfer your account

2.3 Prize Eligibility

  • Prize winners must provide valid government identification
  • Winners must be eligible to receive prizes under applicable Indian laws
  • Organizers, sponsors, and their immediate family members are not eligible
  • Teams with any disqualified members forfeit prize eligibility

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

  • Provide a valid email address
  • Choose a username that does not impersonate others or contain offensive content
  • Create a strong, unique password

3.2 Team Registration

  • Teams may have up to 4 members as specified for each event
  • All team members must have individual accounts
  • Team composition cannot be changed after registration deadline
  • Team leaders are responsible for team member conduct

3.3 Account Security

  • You are solely responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access at support@yukthictf.com
  • We are not liable for losses from unauthorized account use

3.4 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for: - Violation of these Terms or other policies - Fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity - Cheating or unfair competitive practices - Prolonged inactivity (with prior notice)


4. Authorized Use and Scope

4.1 Educational Purpose

Yukthi CTF provides cybersecurity education through practical challenges. Skills and techniques learned here are exclusively for: - Educational and research purposes - Authorized penetration testing with explicit written permission - Career development in cybersecurity - Defensive security applications

4.2 Authorized Security Testing

YOU ARE AUTHORIZED to perform security testing on: - Challenge environments explicitly provided as part of CTF competitions - Your own team's designated resources - Features clearly marked for security testing

YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED to attack or test: - Platform infrastructure (servers, databases, authentication systems) - Other users' accounts or personal data - Shared services or underlying cloud infrastructure - Any system outside designated challenge environments

4.3 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use knowledge gained on this platform to: - Access computer systems without authorization - Cause damage to computer systems, networks, or data - Violate any laws or regulations - Infringe on others' rights or privacy - Engage in malicious hacking or cybercrime - Harass, threaten, or harm other users

WARNING: Unauthorized computer access is illegal under laws including: - Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) - Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (United States) - Computer Misuse Act (United Kingdom)

Violations may result in criminal prosecution.


5. Competition Rules and Fair Play

5.1 Fair Play Requirements

  • Solve challenges using your own skills and authorized resources
  • Do not share flags, solutions, or hints during active competitions
  • Collaborate only within your authorized team
  • Use only one account per person
  • Respect competition time boundaries

5.2 Prohibited Competitive Conduct

  • Flag Sharing: Sharing flags or solutions before competition ends
  • Multi-Accounting: Using multiple accounts for competitive advantage
  • Unauthorized Collaboration: Working with people outside your team
  • Platform Exploitation: Accessing challenges through unintended methods
  • Automation Abuse: Using unauthorized automated solving tools
  • Disruption: Interfering with other participants' progress
  • DoS Attacks: Denial of service or resource exhaustion attacks

5.3 Enforcement

Violations may result in: 1. Warning and score deduction 2. Disqualification from the competition 3. Prize forfeiture 4. Account suspension or permanent ban 5. Reporting to law enforcement (for serious violations)

5.4 Scoring

  • Points are awarded for correct flag submissions
  • Tie-breakers are determined by submission time
  • Organizers reserve the right to adjust scores for detected violations
  • Final scoring decisions by organizers are binding

6. Prizes and Rewards

6.1 Prize Pool

Yukthi CTF 2.0 offers a total prize pool of ₹1,50,000: - 1st Place: ₹75,000 - 2nd Place: ₹50,000 - 3rd Place: ₹25,000

6.2 Prize Conditions

  • Prizes are awarded to teams, not individuals
  • Winners must attend the prize ceremony (Finals) at Saveetha Engineering College
  • Valid government ID required for prize collection
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash alternatives
  • Tax obligations (TDS) are the responsibility of the winners
  • Organizers reserve the right to modify prizes due to unforeseen circumstances

6.3 Disqualification

Any violation of Terms or competition rules results in: - Immediate disqualification - Forfeiture of all prizes - Potential account termination


7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform Ownership

Yukthi CTF, including all software, designs, text, graphics, challenges, and content is owned by Selfmade Ninja Academy and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Challenge Ownership

  • Challenges are owned by their creators or Yukthi CTF
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit challenges without permission
  • Educational discussion of challenge concepts is permitted after competitions end

7.3 User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create (write-ups, solutions, etc.)
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to use your content for platform operations
  • Write-ups may only be published after the Event concludes
  • Credit Yukthi CTF when publishing challenge writeups

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: - Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose - Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content - Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation - Challenge safety or educational quality

8.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YUKTHI CTF, SELFMADE NINJA ACADEMY, TAMIL NADU POLICE, AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: - Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities - Damages arising from unauthorized account access - Damages from use or inability to use the platform - Technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions - Actions of other participants - Travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by participants

8.3 Educational Context

We provide cybersecurity education. We are not responsible for: - How users apply knowledge outside the platform - Misuse of security techniques - Legal consequences of unauthorized hacking


9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yukthi CTF, Selfmade Ninja Academy, Tamil Nadu Police, Saveetha Engineering College, sponsors, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: - Your violation of these Terms - Your violation of any laws or regulations - Your infringement of third-party rights - Your use or misuse of the platform - Any unauthorized computer access you perform


10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10.2 Jurisdiction

Any legal action related to these Terms must be brought in courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. You consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts.

10.3 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, contact us at support@yukthictf.com to attempt informal resolution.


11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make changes: - We will post updated Terms on the platform - We will update the "Last Updated" date - Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification - Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance


12. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct, constitute the entire agreement
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to affiliates or successors
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
